Our Coaching Team
Coach Development
At Maypole FC, we believe that the greatest investment we can make isn't just in facilities or equipment - it's in our people.
Every coach gives up their time because they care about making a difference to young people's lives. We believe it's our responsibility as a club to give something back by supporting them to become the very best coaches they can be.
Over the last few seasons, we've invested both time and money into developing our coaching team. We've supported new coaches through the FA Introduction to Coaching Football course, funded coaches to achieve their UEFA C Licence and continue to encourage those coaches to take the next step towards their UEFA B Licence. We're proud to already have a UEFA B Licence coach within the club, helping to mentor and inspire others on their own coaching journey.
Our investment doesn't stop with coaching qualifications. We actively encourage and support our volunteers to complete referee qualifications, safeguarding and first aid training, and attend Continuous Professional Development (CPD) events throughout the year. We believe learning never stops, and by continually developing our coaches and volunteers, we create better experiences for every player.
Coach development at Maypole FC isn't about collecting certificates—it's about creating confident leaders, positive role models and lifelong learners. We encourage our coaches to observe one another, share ideas, challenge themselves and reflect on every session, creating a culture where learning is part of everyday life.
When a coach improves, every player in their team benefits. Better coaching creates better environments, stronger relationships and more enjoyable experiences for everyone involved.
As our club continues to grow, so does our commitment to the people who make it possible. Whether someone is taking their very first coaching qualification or working towards higher-level UEFA licences, they will have the full support of Maypole FC every step of the way.
We don't expect our coaches to stand still, and neither do we. Together, we learn, develop and grow - because investing in our people is investing in the future of Maypole FC.
